The major trouble would come from the lack of a damper allowing the suspension to bottom out hard against the bump stop. This puts a lot more load on the end of the stub axle and wheel bearing than there should be. For a few days of careful driving this should not be a problem, so I wouldn't worry about it. But do be aware that repeated bottoming of the suspension can break the end of the stub axle, which would cost more than $15 to fix. mjb. |
