I'll try to get a summary of the ownership survey out this weekend, the
responses are still showing up.

Just got a '91 Classic Motorbooks catalog today. In the section titled
"The Beauty, Style and Elegance of the Classic British Marques" there
is a book listed I *must* buy. Written by Micheal Richards, about whom
I know nothing, it is titled "Triumph TR4, 5 and 6". Has anyone seen this
book before? I'd still like to tget a good copy of "The TR6 Companion"
one of these days.

When it comes to tools, usually the only thing I carry when just tooling
about town is my pockeknife, if that. It is a matter of trust, I presume.
If I've had the car long enough to get to know it, and tend to those common
things that new members of the family usually need, I don't worry about
too many things going wrong. I do keep my AAA up to date, but the last
time I called them it was for the truck!

On race day, though, it is a completely different story. But since this
isn't really meant to be too long a note I shan't describe all that.
I did carry a spare radiator hose in The White Car this summer, since the
one doing its duty on the car was looking pretty feeble. I'll no doubt
replace it when I pull the radiator this weekend to build the electric
fan brackets.

Hmm, maybe the Fat Chance Garage, whose proprietor has a previous life
in an outdoor sewing company, could come up with a great new canvas bag
of some description. And for those of you with a more modern bent, maybe
I'll make it available in 14 oz. ballastics nylon. But don't hold your
breath. Some of you who have dealt with the Fat Chance buying new and
used parts may have a feel for the level of service provided!
