Hmmm. Sorry, but I couldn't resist adding to the discussion
about camcorders and rebuilding: I started grinning when I read
Jerry's description of rebuilding his MGA. Sounded an awful lot
like an autopsy to me! Only thing is cars can be put back
together and people are usually unfixable :-) :-)
Here's an unrelated question for everyone: I replaced the rear
brake shoes on my TR8 some time ago. I took the drums to my
favorite machine shop. When I got them back, the machinist
notified me that the drum INSIDES were out of round. He'd never
seen that before. I can't figure out how that could be. Anyone
got any ideas? The machinist told me he double checked his setup
just to be sure. I also have good reason (junkyard yellow
numbers) to believe that the car's entire rear end has been
replaced sometime before I got the car. Could something be bent?
The new shoes don't quite feel right either.
