FYI: My brother's 75 TR7 gets 31 mpg highway (with the 4 speed!) and about 25 mpg city. He's not got his air pump anymore, and I think he's missing some of the usual smog plumbing but I thought he's doing really well. My friend Tom's 79 TR7 got about 28 mpg highway and maybe 22 city. My TR8 gets about 20 city and 26 highway (it's an 80 CA fuel injection version). I think British cars do pretty well on mpg! Maybe someone should compile a list and put it in the next VTR mag? jim jatc@emx.utexas.edu |
