Do you have a servo, on the brake system ?

I once had a similar problem and it turned out to be the brake
servo (everything else had been replaced or rebuilt).

When pressing on the brake pedal everything was okay but
upon releasing the brake pedal, the actual brakes would not release.
This did not occur all the time and usually when the car had warmed up.

I replaced the servo filter and things improved a bit. But only after
replacing the whole servo unit did the problem go away. Apparantly
the internal bladder was leaking and prevented the brakes from working
properly.

Another cause could be a brake caliper.

Is the piston sticking in the brake caliper ?
Is it only one brake or all of them ?
