Jim Muller writes about low oil pressure using Mobil 10W-30 oil.
Way back when, I used to work at a Mobil gas station & garage. I used to
get Mobil oil real cheap, and after the first change using Mobil 10W-30,
I went back to paying real money for Penzoil. The Mobil oil had the
consistency of water when warm after just a few hundred miles. I experienced
the same things you did, oil pressure light would come on at low idle speeds,
lots of tappet noise. I've always been surprised I have never heard any one
else complain of this! Anyway, as for bargain basement oils, ya gets what
yas pays for!
