My sons are living with us now that they are off from school for
the summer and my younger boy asked to borrow the B to show off
a little for his lady friend. I went out to help him start it
as I remembered that Terry had just about driven it dry last
time she took it to work. It started and then died and I
figured it was out of gas. Added some from the lawn-mower can
and tried again.
Nothing. Well, I'd seen that one before. Popped the battery
panel and tightened up the cables. Back to cranking, but no
go.
Figured maybe the fuel pump points had stuck - not liking to
be run dry, but opening the line up by the SU's showed plenty
of gas pumping out. Hmmm.
Well must be electrical. Sure enough, the old spark plug trick
shows no spark! Opened the dist cap and things looked ok in
there. By this time they had to leave and we pushed Grandfather
back in and I went back to enjoying my new deck. Damn LBC's!
