Just noticed that the TR-8 pictured in the spring 1990 "Automobile
Quarterly" ("TR in Name Only", pp 32-33) belongs to Bill Sohl!. Bill,
you have a very pretty car.
The description of the (4) photos reads: "By the time the TR-8 debuted,
the TR-7 had damaged Triumph's reputation beyond repair. Even this lusty
V-8 convertible couldn't keep British Leyland in the sports car business."
This article follows a very nice article "Triumph before Tragedy" on the
history of the TR series from TR-1 to TR-6. It even contains pictures
of the fuel-injected TR-5, something we didn't get here in the States.
