:: Welding is out of the question, but I might be willing to try body :: solder if I could do it with a propane torch. You could do it with body solder, but the problem here is heat. Getting the metal hot enough to do a good job would quite likely blister the paint on the underside, so it too would have to be scraped clean and painted. Otherwise the nail repairs would fall out as the surrounding metal rusts away. mjb. |
