Hey, what's all these comments about british cars
not starting! My Vitesse (with electronic ignition)
is the best starting car I've ever seen, bar none.
Starts from stone cold with three, mabe four turns
of the crank---from hot in two revolutions.
My clapped-out Triumph 2000 takes rather longer
but still better than any Ford four cylinder I've
come across and it has never failed to start in the
end.
Mabe it's the high CR used on UK cars versus the
low CR for US spec.
David.
P.S. Does anyone know that effect the temperature
of the FUEL has on the power of an engine ? I know
that F1 cars used to have cooled fuel but that was
to get more in the tank. Did the cold fuel have a
beneficial effect on performance or was it heated
prior to the intakes ?
