Another thing to consider is the type of thermostat you have. In the TR engine, the original thermostats had a sleeve that would cover the bypass channel when opening the channel to the radiator, ensuring that all the coolant goes through the radiator. Most aftermarket thermostats don't have this sleeve, resulting in less effective cooling. If the Midget has a similar design, switching thermostat styles might help. chris |
