Mike asks:
... AUD14C, AUD14F and AUD14R. The C, F and R mean Centre, Front
and Rear
But what does the
AUD14 mean? Then, cast into the covers themselves theres the # AUC1433.
Thats the part number of the assembly, including jet and needle. This number
does vary from year to year, and quite a bit from make to make, ad there
are differences. And then there are physical mods as well, such as when they
added the spring -loaded-anti-polution throttle plate. (yetch!)
Some HS-4 #'s found on an MGB are
AUD52, AUD135, AUD265 early, and
AUD405 & AUD465 -later (70-71)
So, don't loose those numbers, they're important ID. Thry also ID which
rebuild kit you need.
