It's good to hear that other B's have similar problems with temperature like
my #2224.

After rebuilding my engine last year it'd got very hot on time after loosing
the lower connection of the radiator hose to the water pump.

So I reconnected the hose, refill the cooling system, but after a few
test-runs I saw bubbles in the water reservoir. It seems that CO is in the
system.

I pulled out both heads check them and the gaskets, but haven't found a real
cut in the gasket or cracks in the heads or the other parts.
I reinstalled everything with new gaskets etc.

During the last month since rebuilding the head gaskets the water level in
the reservoir was ok until I stopped the engine. Than the water starts to
cocked out of the radiator into the reservoir and again there were bubbles!!
When the engine was running there was a minimum level of water, but after
stopping the level was to overflow.

After several weeks of testing and some issues with timing and the carb one
day #2224 starts to overheat(2500) again. Before I totally stopped the
engine I opened the heater to inside on a 950 day, but without any change.

There was still water in the reservoir this day but on the next I was able
fill more than 1gallon water into the whole system!

I hoped that it was a big air pocket, but since last week it seems that
there are again bubbles in the system when stopping the engine a refilled
the reservoir again to the minimum.

Could the timing and carb problems a reason why I have still CO in my
cooling system?

At the moment the in my opinion the engine is too high in idle, after it
gets warmer it gets better, but -if warm or cold- when I try to accelerate
from a stop-sign or traffic-light it tries to die.
The last months I tried with some experienced friend to calibrate the timing
and fuel injection but it seems without any success.

For me in Germany it's difficult to find a specialist for US-engine on the
next corner so I solve the by myself.

I tried to cool the system first without the original fan just 2 electrical
pusher fans until #2224 had overheated the second time.
Now I reinstalled the manual fan additional but dont know if the fan clutch
is ok. How could I test this??

Could anyone give some god hints, how I fix these problems.

Thanks in advance,
