I have had several requests for more information on my experience with
Terry Tanner so I will share the facts.
First, I no longer own my Bricklin. I sold it last fall to a great guy
in Massachusetts. The buyer, after seeing my car but before purchasing
it, made in-person visits to Terry's and Bob's shops. He is going to
take the car to Bob's shop.
History
=====
My car was a 1974 auto, with just over 4,000 miles. It was original
except for the air door conversion done by Terry and different carpet
done by someone, presumably a previous owner. Both these changes were
done before I bought the car. The car's history showed it was mostly
used in shows. When I bought it I had the option to buy a Bricklin
go-cart. This was a real go-cart with a complete miniature Bricklin
body. I was told the go-carts were given to the dealers to put in the
show room. I did not buy the go-cart but in hind sight, probably should
have.
>From the day I bought my car the driver's door was bent. It opened and
closed fine but did not align with the roof. The roof was full of
spider cracks.
After owning the car for years and putting it in shows and parades, I
decided to have Terry fix the door. I used Terry because of all the
talk on this list about him.
