This is a common problem with the brick. If you don't have enough airflow
the problem probably lies at the junction between the heater box and
evaporator box. There was a major misalignment of these boxes, Bricklin
engineering, so they stuffed a big chunk of foam in the gap to fill the
holes. Problem is by the time the foam filled the holes it blocked half the
airflow. by now that chunk of foam has probably deteriorated to the point
that the air is probably leaking around it. The easy fix is to remove all
traces of the foam gasket at the joint and seal it with a urethane roof
patch. just seal all the way around and you will have better air flow than
original providing everything else is up to snuff.
The roof patch is available at home depot and lowes, It come in a bout a 6
inch wide strip and looks like a roll of foil with black goop on the back,
This stuff also works good as a sound deadener.
