Any leads? Speedo not working when I got the car in December, today was
the day to see why. Pulled the dash, pulled the speedometer to find
that it' really not meant to be serviced in any regular way. Face rim
is crimped to the body case, once took radio vibrators apart to file
points in the old days, screwdriver was the tool of choice to uncrimp
enough to pull it apart. Did that here, not knowing how it would go
back together in the recrimp dept. Turns out the helical hair spring
for the needle is all wound up, no way to get it back into operational
mode.

You probably all know this but JIC with the dash out a jumper across the
red and black wired socket that goes to the voltmeter (ampmeter,
ammeter, whatever...) will allow the car to be drivable.

Thanks for any help,

Les
