Marvin,

I believe what you are describing is normal.  I was talking
with Terry several years ago, and he said that he catches
his door with is knee for a second to let the air completely
drain.  Then removes his knee and the door latches.  To
overcome this, he had an additional control valve that can
be add to not let the air back up into the air latch.

You might want to contact him about this problem.  Since I
haven't gotten that far with my car yet, I haven't worried
about it yet.

John Lodge, if you're monitoring, you might want to shed a
little more light on the subject.
