On the subject of the air doors and the Concourse rules:
1. The purpose of the rules and the club is to maintain and preserve the
Bricklin. The rules are a guide as to how the car was when it came
off the assembly line.
2. The rules are probably going to stay intact as they are.
3. For any one wanting to maintain the original hydrolic doors, they can.
And yes, if 2 cars were tied otherwise, the car with the hydrolic doors
would win. Now if everyone that shows up for a meet has air doors,
everyone
will be hit the same 2 or 3 or what ever points. So it doesn't affect
any one in reality.
So with the last 2 sentences in item 3 said, why bother changing the rules
and hurting the 2 people that still have hydrolic doors? They are going
to pay a lot bigger price in maintenance and poor performance than the few
points a meet.
