Ok gang,
A while back I asked about the funny U channel that had to fit at an
angle. A couple of people told me that this was a mod. for the 75s and
it fit in the front part of the door. No problem, I've not got that fit.
I just put the pass. side window in to check that it goes up and down.
I'm happy to report, it does. However, that angled front U channel appears
to take a roller. I have a small roller on a flat piece of metal about
2" long. Near the top of the metal a nut is welded, and there is a bolt
and what appears to be a clip piece of metal.
1. What does that clip attach to? I assume the U channel that the window
is attached to.
2. If that is true, how? Unless I have the driver's side part on the pass.
side, the bolt MUST be put in from the inboard side, which puts it in the
angled U channel. I can't really get it to grip the bottom of the window's
U channel as the metal bar with the roller appears to need to be cut at an
angle (which it isn't).
If anyone has any ideas and or can take a picture of theirs, I'd really
appreciate the info. If you have your car apart, but don't understand what
I'm talking about, let me know and I'll take some pictures for U.
TIA
John
