Mini-Bricklin History

I just recently purchased VIN# 2792. As part of the deal I ended up with a 
white mini-bricklin. Originally I had planned to sell it but have now decided 
to keep it. I'm interested in the history of these little carts. Anybody out 
there have any information on them? Thanks.
