Ah yes...the differences between living up north and living in Alabama!

I've found that a mop handle works nicely...saw off the plastic part of
the mop at a 45-degree angle and the plastic stud fits snugly in the
door latch mechanism, then put the rubber tip on the ground. You won't
knock it out of joint unless you kick it karate-style.
