It's a baked on thermal coating that's then clearcoated / heat treated to
protect it. You send them whatever exhaust components you want coated. They
prep the parts. Not cheap, but it's permanent, and looks super. You'll need
to get a quote.

You should be able to remove the parts with the motor in-car.

P.S. It wasn't luck. The system was partially clogged from years of sludge
buildup. 220 is kind of high though, especially if you have a 160 or 180deg
t'stat. Your motor probably needs back flushing too. While this isn't too
high to be concerned, <210deg max should be the goal.
