A 351 Granada motor IS a 351W with the same basic low flow small block
Ford heads as on Windsor style engines (including the 5.0) as have been
in production since the early 60's. To make significant power with a
small block Ford you have to change the heads to one of the excellent
aftermarket heads available or use artificial aspiration. Of course to
make the 385 hp the 351 crate motor has a proper set of heads. I'll
show my bias again by stating the AMC motor in the 74 stock has heads
that flow approximately 218 CFM at 28", which will support 450 hp, and
the stock castings can be modified to support more than 600 hp.
