Good Morning,
My name is John E. Kline. I live in Davidsonville, Maryland. I bought my
Bricklin in 1975 and it is in excellent condition. As with all Bricklins
there are a few gliches. The one that is giving me the most problems now
is the alignment and latching on the drivers door.
When I try to open the drivers side door it jams in the latch. It looks
like the ram is putting a twist on the door at the bottom right side, thus
causing the latch to jam. I have tried to loosen the hinges and realigh
the door but have no sucess. Way back in ancient history I converted to an
air system and they installed a small compressed air strut on the door just
ahead of the front hinge. I am wondering if this strut has gone bad and
needs to be replaced. Does anyone have a method for realighing the dooe?
Thank you, JOHN

Hey gang,
Pat & Ray Selna have sent me some good info from some old magazines. One
article is on the Bricklin-Turner Engine. While I can read/scan the text
and line drawings the photos in the copies are very poor. Does anybody
have
a copy of the 1976 Mechanix Illustrated mag. that has the article?
I'm hoping that if you have the article, you might have a scanner so you
can
scan the 6 pictures for me. I'd like to use the article in The Brickline.
If you have the mag. and can scan the pix. please let me know.
TIA
John
