That's what I did. I didn't get anything from Tanner, though. I fabricated 
my own channel on the existing rail. However, you should have it glued 
while in the door. After I had mine glued at an auto glass shop and 
installed it in the door, I found out that rolling the window all the way 
down causes the roller (on the top of the scissor arms) to sneak out of the 
end of the rail.
