Hi,
One more thing about the rust.  Depending on where the car has been
driven/parked, the frame can get seriously rusted from the inside without
obvious signs elsewhere.  The problem is insidious because it happens from the
inside of the steel tube frame members.  You should look at these very
carefully.  Look under the car and at the torque boxes which are the larger
parts closest to the wheels.  Look for circular areas of swelling which could
indicate rust on the inside.  See the article on the web site on POR15 and
