Is the 75 thermostat a Ford one?

The cross reference lists the thermo as an "EP 330-160" with "EP" being 
"Extra Performance". Does the 160 mean 160 degrees f?  Also, can I just 
use a thermostat that crosses for a 351w? I presume that EP is simply an 
aftermarket supplier.

Thanks and I really hope that this is the problem with the overheating 
of the car.
