About a month ago, I asked if anybody had any info on the power steering
hoses for a 75. I received several replys and 2 part numbers.
Greg Monfort and others provided some part numbers: the pressure hose was
a Gates #35226, and the return hose was a GM 14040767.
Well it has taken me a month to track them down. Today I did pick up
the Gates hose for a wapping $24.5. It crosses to a Ever Co 66104 which
is about $17 (should have gotten that one). The only info I can find
on its application is 70-74 Chevy /w a 6 Cyl, 76-79 Chevy /w a V8,
71-74 Pontiac /w a 6 cyl, 73-74 Olds /w a 6 cyl and 77-79 Olds /w V8.
I had to go to a GM dealer (Olds) to get the GM hose. It too was $24
and will be in tomorrow. Hopefully it is the right one. The only
application I could get on this was most 83-91 1 ton GM trucks with the
"old" body style and the 454 eng.
