Hi Tim,
Yes, those so called traction bars. They cause the spring(s) to bind up with
some pretty nasty consequences, particularly when making fast transitions. The
car will lose most of it's unpredictable rear twitchiness. Add the rear
swaybar kit and shocks for best results.

What exactly am I supposed to take off the rear suspension?
I have heard all about these supports, but I don't know what they look
like. I do see two things that are on the front side of the suspension.
They appear to be put there to keep the springs from twisting when someone
mashes the throttle. What happens when you take them off? For that matter,
what happens when you don't? Does the car go crazy in turns?
I have just pulled the body yesterday, so now is the perfect time to mess
with frame stuff. Is there anything else I should improve while I can?
