symptoms might support it. Have you considered that the gap on one of the e=
xhaust valves is too wide? Gap settings can change on one as you adjust the=
 next. The reason I'm thinking about this is your comment about the start t=
hen stall and also the miss and especially the backfire out the carb. An ov=
ergapped exhaust valve would cause chamber pressure on one cylinder to buil=
d up and burp back out into the intake manifold as other cylinders are tryi=
ng to inhale. If this theory is correct then that would interfere with the =
mixture going into other cylinders causing no fire or intermittent firing. =
It could also explain the backfire out the carb if the exhaust valve is not=
 opening until well after the moment of combustion on the overgapped cylind=
er.=C2=A0=0A=C2=A0=0AJust a theory and not advice, for sure as I'm a fellow=
