I have registered my '71 Lotus Europa and it went without a hitch.
Also, I do not know if there is still controversy regarding whether or not =
you need a safety inspection but there is no question you do NEED ONE.=A0 I=
was told if you are pulled over by the police and you do not have your saf=
ety inspection you will lose your vintage plate status and the luxuries it =
affords (no emissions testing).

>=A0 41-21-1(2)(a) "Vintage vehicle" means a motor vehicle that is 30=A0 ye=

>=A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 I hope this isn't a dumb question, but has anyone taken=A0=
advantage of the recent change in the law regarding antique/vintage=A0 veh=
icle registration? My '71 now qualifies, and my regular=A0 registration exp=
ires in a couple weeks. I had intended to switch it=A0 to the antique class=
ification, but was concerned about the=A0 stipulation that the car be drive=
n "occasionally". Do members of the=A0 club have experience with the prover=
bial spirit and letter of the=A0 law on this? I drive the "B" when it is ni=
ce out, which means=A0 probably 10x per month during the warm months of the=
year. More than=A0 just to club events, parades or car shows, but not 365 =
days per year.
