Need Help!!

Hey guys about  2 years ago I bought a 1973 mg midget and was waiting
for a little money to fix it up that time has come. or so I thought I
got a quote for an engine re build the guy told my $3000 to $4000 isn't
that a bit steep any way if there is any one out there that has a spare
engine or knows where a good mechanic is let me know
