2006 SPEED GT And Touring Car Finales Air This Saturday
TOPEKA, Kan. (Oct. 27, 2006) - Last Sunday's SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World
Challenge GT and Touring Car finales at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will
have their debut broadcasts this Saturday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
(EDT) on SPEED.
This year's SPEED GT and Touring Car Drivers' Championships and GT
Manufacturers' Championship came down to the wire and were decided in
spectacular fashion at the final round in Monterey, Calif.

(Acura Certified Pre-Owned/RealTime Acura TSX) can claim his fourth
Drivers' Championship over Randy Pobst (Mazdaspeed/Tri Point Motorsports
Mazda 6). Then, stay tuned to witness the closest finish in SPEED GT
history when Pobst jumps behind the wheel of an At Speed Motorsports
Porsche 911 Cup to serve Porsche in the fight with Cadillac and Dodge
for the SPEED GT Manufacturers' Championship, while Lawson Aschenbach
(AXA Financial Porsche 911 GT3) tries to keep up with Lou Gigliotti (LF
ProLong Tube Headers Chevrolet Corvette C6) and Andy Pilgrim (XM/Mobil
1/Motorola/On Star/Cadillac CTS-V) to secure the SPEED GT Drivers'
Championship in his rookie season.
An encore broadcast of both races is scheduled to begin Wednesday, Nov.
1, at noon (EST).
