thoughts on how to decommision a car

Hi all,

I'm going away for at least several months starting in November and was
wondering what people thought was the best way to "store" a car,

I can keep it in a friend's garage where they can start it (yes, door
open) while having it up on blocks, or possibly have someone drive the
car around the block,
