I am sure you're all using your sunscreen as you
should out there, but I just want to share with you a
product I've been using for the past couple of years
now while out riding my bike.
I am NOT affiliated with this company in any way. It's
called Kinesys (www.kinesys.com), and I know for sure
that you can get it at bike shops, specialty running
shoe stores, places where tri-geeks shop and so on.
The two products I recommend are the SPF 30+ Spray and
the SPF 30+ Cream.
Why I like the spray: it is convenient to use through
out the day, it dries within a couple of minutes, it
is not greasy, and it contains Parsol 1789, one of the
best UVA and UVB blockers available.
Why I like the cream: it's not as convenient as the
spray, but it's not bad by any means. You can apply it
in thicker layers for more protection, but it's not
greasy. Its strongest selling point is that it
contains titanium dioxide, which reflects both UVA and
UVB rays. I don't go outside without this stuff. It's
also a good fit for those with sensitive skin.
I realize this is likely a moot point, because I know
EVERYBODY wears sunscreen, and I know there are other
worthy brands out there. This is the hot thing in
running and cycling circles because it works so well.
