Yes, so was 385hp when the 90 ZR1 came out when L98s had 230hp. With all
that horsepower the ZR1s were initially excluded
from stock despite the fact they weighed 3500+ pounds.
Then as people started to figure out in autocrossing weight was more
important than power the ZR1s made
their way back into SS where the the 250hp 2700 pound RX7TT's could kick
their ass like they were kicking the ass of the
300hp LT1s of the day.
What's more impressive about the original and latest Z06, and what's making
them so competitive, is that they kept the weight down.
