Hi Charlie, I think the last time we talked was the day I picked up
the really really old SCCA autocross trailer, when GGC BMW CCA bought
it from you guys back in the late '80s. Or maybe it was someone else
at SCCA, what do I know? Memory problems these days, ya know.

Anyway, I'm 99% sure that the six cylinder E36 coupes ran like this:

1992 325is - M50B25 motor (189 HP, 188 ft-lbs torque), 3.15:1 final
drive, limited slip was optional.

1993-1995 325is - M50B25TU motor ("technical update" with 189 HP, 193
ft-lbs) with variable valve timing on the intake cam, the same 3.15:1
final drive, limited slip still optional.

1996-1999 328is - M52B28TU motor (190 HP, 206 ft-lbs) with dual
variable valve timing, i.e. both cams, 2.93:1 final drive, LSD not
available (traction control standard, as if that were better).

Looking for a "new" car?
