re heat cycling and tire rack etc...

Hi. I confirmed with Tire Rack, that even if they don't *list* heat-cycled 
tires for a given
brand, they *will* heat cycle any tire you wish to order, for $15.

This doesn't address the mold release compound completely, but if that material
is volatile enough, heat and time will remove it. Ten minutes of driving 
should remove
any remaining surface stuff.
