Ahhh... AC, wanna adopt me? I'm housebroken! It was in
the 104 region here as well, 95 in the shade, and 90
in the house. My room was in the 93 to 95 region as I
have a fireplace in my room (a fairly useless thing to
have if you have allergies). The chimney radiates a
good deal of heat. It was too hot to turn on my
computer... the core temp of the processor would shoot
up and my machine would randomly crash.
It actually felt a little cooler today than it did
yesterday. I went for a ride midday yesterday. I was
wondering why my heart rate was about 10 - 20 beats
above it's norm. 100+ degree weather would certain
explain that. I weighed myself before and after the
ride. In an hour I took in 48 ounces of water but
despite that I was 2 pounds lighter at the end of the
ride.
Be careful out there on Sunday. Follow Noel's lead and
bring a Camel Back if you have one. I'd recommend that
everyone drinks as much water as possible on Friday
and Saturday (you can't just drink on the day of an
event and be hydrated if you've been under-hydrated
the previous days). Even if it's only 90 it will most
likely be a little more toasty on the tarmac.
Have fun. Cheers, Joe
