Yesterday started out with a gloomy forecast but ended up being one of
the nicest events I've chaired. I have so many people to thank- people
who made it way too easy for Chris and I. I apologize in advance to
those I've missed- everyone's contribution was greatly appreciated! My
last check with Jeremy indicated ~230 some entries despite the bad
forecast. The event started off wet but gradually dried out during the
day, and despite a couple mechanical delays near the end we were still
able to have almost an hour of fun runs before the rains came again.

A special note of thanks to those who stuck it out for the whole
weekend- from the dismal rainy start of the novice school on Saturday
until the postcard double-rainbow end on Sunday. Bryan Nemy as always
got our motorhome to the site on time and worked countless assignments
in addition to being Safety Steward when no one else could. Tom Grote
who despite being ill was pretty much first one on site both days and
worked in the freezing rain for hours on Saturday afternoon while
everyone splashed thru the puddles at the school- then showed up for
setup the next day. Elbert Chin for covering extra shifts in the
afternoon when we were short on workers and then staying to work fun
runs and pack up despite not taking any fun runs himself. Charlie Davis
and Harold Olsen for always being there to help with the situations that
came up, especially in the last run group! Paul Soals and Alan Perucho
for chairing a great school and then showing up bright and early the
next day. My whole setup crew- Alexander Komlik, Tony Tabacco, Alan
Gruner, Boris Elpiner, Jeffrey Macko, plus many already mentioned and
probably some I forgot. Those who stayed to load up the motorhome
including James Creasy and some very hard working students from the
Novice School- Armen Hamstra and Rich Parker. And of course my
dedicated co-chair and co-driver Chris McKinney.

See you all at Marina!
Peter
