The Evolution School always has been hosted by the American Autocross
Series for the past 6 years. Barbara Ogg is the contact person and has a
waiting list. You might want to contact her and get on her list. One of
the problems of holding the school is site and date availability.

Because of a site availability problem, I am not sure if there will be a
school held this year. If you can come up with a site, and the financial
backing you don't need SCCA or the steering committee's approval. You
can host it yourself. Jean can provide the event insurance for you at a
reasonable cost. If you don't want to take the risk and bank roll the
school, than you would need the Steering Committee's approval or find
another deep pocket to bank roll it. Good luck with the Steering
committee.

Because of the site rental fee, the evolution school fee, event
insurance, cost of the flights for the instructors, rental car(s) for
the instructors, lodging for the instructors, and don't forget the
lunch, it probably be more cost effective if you hold a school for two
days and find a site with enough room to hold two schools. Two
instructors per school are required and one timer person for Phase 1. If
I elect to teach than you would only have to pay for one instructor's
roundtrip flight and only my mileage. The timer person can be a local
and we would teach them how to use the timing system. That timer person
would need to be available from 8:00AM to about 5:00PM.

The Phase 1 schools don't take up as much room as Phase 2 schools. One
day with one school more than likely would not be cost effective unless
you end up charging a lot for the fee. You should do the math to make
sure you have all of your expenses covered and so you can determine if
the school entry fee would be reasonable to charge and be affordable for
the students.

You will need to make sure that you have 12 students for each phase 1
school. You can only have 12 students unless you can talk Jean into an
additional 2. Any less than 12 will eat into covering your expenses.

If you need further help, please let me know.
