Jaguar really invented the word "roadster".
For the XK 120-150s, they had a Roadster, which for
the XK120 was an assemble-in-place top and side curtains.
The tops of the doors had comfy leather covered pads for
your elbows...
Then they had the XK120 DHC -- Drop Head Coupe, which had
a completely inside finished fold-down in place top, with rollup
glass windows. Of course, there was also a FHC -- Fixed
Head Coupe.
When the open E Type came in 1961, it had rollup glass windows and
an upholstered top -- they called it the OTS -- Open Two Seater...
