I don't know about the biggest screen but for a more
pleasant movie viewing experience check out this link:

http://www.thx.com/cinema/theatre_locator.asp

Enter "CA" (the zipcode search is too localized) and
you're on your way.

FWIW THX certification in home theater products is a
big load of crap (especially when it comes to
speakers) but for a commercial movie theater there is
a benefit. A THX certified theater specifies that a
minimum level of quality is met for the projection
equipment, the sound reproduction system, the audience
seating (specifies max viewing angles so your neck
doesn't hurt when you get out of the theater), and
most importantly, the acoustic properties of the
theater room itself. Also, if you feel something is
off in terms of the theater you can call an 800 number
and THX will investigate the problem (the theater has
to maintain proper calibration and upkeep of their
equipment in order to maintain their THX
certification).

If you want a demonstration of poor acoustics go to
Century 16 in Mountain View. For starters the theaters
are round, the only possible way to make that room any
worse off acoustically is to make it a perfect sphere.
You can hear discrete slapback echoes off of the
center channel dialog, the subs are never calibrated
properly (usually the crossover point is set too high)
and there isn't isolation from theater to theater so
when you're watching a mushy love scene you can still
hear Godzilla stomping on cars in the theater next to
you.

C ya, Joe

As for the car... it's a F.O.R.D. what did you expect? ;-)
