Beats me. As a driver of an old British car the
peculiar wording of 13.2.K allows me to remove
anything I want since it's going to fall off anyway.
13.2.K Any item that cannot be held permanently
in place by factory installed fasteners may be
removed.
Actually the bonnet (hood) of my car is designed
to be removed by unhooking a single spring by hand,
and weighs considerably more than the five pound
hood (soft top).
