Is there a history of how the Street Tire class came to be ?
Is this local class older than national classes STX/STS/STR ?

Are any class (eg A-Mod, or carts) actually prohibited from street tire ?

squid.

#47 Rules for "Street Tire " class.

This is a SFR-only class.

Vehicles run under all SCCA and SFR classification and allowance
rules, with the additional restriction that tires must have a
D.O.T. treadwear rating of 120 or greater.

Scoring will be done on the most recently published SFR Handicapping
index. Class designator is the normal class information plus the
letters "ST " (e.g. ASP-ST).
