uh, well, i am living proof of this after converting to coil overs in the
rear of my car. after a whole year of wondering why my car wouldnt turn
right, why i only wore out only RF and LR tires, and why my perch settings
looked so odd, i finally realized my corner weights were WAY WAY off.

before the last event i ghetto corner weighted my car by just setting my
perches even and compared the pressure from pressing down on the fenders and
picked up a close to a whole second. DOH!!

corner weight your car! i might buy a set of scales soon and can do some
quick checks for people.

couple of other things: changes to alignment change corner weights so its
good to do both at once. very slight changes in flatness greatly affect
corner weights. changes in ride height affect the pre-load on your sway
bars, so be sure to reset those. you can do perfectly good alignments and
cross weights at home for autocross use. barry spencer corner weighted my
car once long ago and it was really good for that next event- hes got the
super tools to do this.
