I've been talking to Phil Osborne, Paddock Chief. Here's what should come
out in the next newsletter, plus or minus a few details.
To eliminate some confusion from last year, each numbered space will begin
with the row number, i.e.; 101, 201,301 etc.
Rows 1 and 2 are vendor and chiefs, with some chiefs spilling into row 3,
along with the 100 percenters and the Kart folks. 4 and 5 will be for single
car, no RV/trailer groups
You can save up to 3 spaces for friends, beginning at row 6. We have to give
the names of those for whom we're saving spaces, and none of those three will
be allowed to save more space. However, if someone wants to save several
spaces, they can do so by selecting something from row 10 back to row 14.
That's where the large groups will be pitted. Those with trailers not
required as part of the racing effort, i.e., no tire racks or tool boxes, are
recommended to be parked in the trailer parking area. Small tire trailers
will be OK in paddock.
So, it appears that this all hinges on those of us arriving on Friday, who
will have the best opportunity to save spaces for our fellow region members.
I'm keeping track of all of this, and who are novices that need to be paired
up with mentors.
This is all such a different thing for you if you're a first timer at
Nationals, that it really helps to have someone to help you through reg,
tech, etc.
