I don't think I disparaged any new autocrosser. I pointed out
times have changed and so has society. I ran SFR Solo II events for 17 or 18
years before I switched to Road Racing. I've run in the DP, SS, BSP and ASP
classes. I served for years on the Solo II steering commitee and I've chaired
events. I think its fair to say I've made my positive contribution. I'm also
sure that those few old timers who still might remember me would greet me
with a smile if I run a Solo II event. Unfortunately trying to run a Solo II
event with the power my car has now on Kumho V700's (they work great when up
to temp) at current Solo II sites would be a joke. I'd light up the tires
every time I hit the gas. FWIW.
