Hi all, this is slightly autox related:

I will be leaving my current job in the next few months and am looking
for someone to replace me. The position is basically a parts
manager/service writer spot at one of the largest independent garages
in the bay area. The shop has 9 full time techs, and two full time
service writers. It's the most fun I've ever had at a job. Very young,
friendly atmosphere, outdoors most of the day, the owner is probably
the best boss you could ask for.

The autox related part: The shop has basically everything; presses,
racks, Hunter alignment rack, Hunter tire machine, brake lathe, drill
press, TIG and MIG welders, valve and valve seat grinders (I built a
head here), smog equipment... the works. I have mounted all my own
tires over the last 9 months. I have done all my own alignments
whenever I wanted for 9 months. I get parts at cost and have a bunch of
ASE master mechanics to ask questions all day long. This would be the
perfect job for the auto-junkie stuck in corporate america who wants
out (that's where I was when I got the job).

The position is by no means static, and will end up being whatever the
person makes it (like I said, very cool boss). Please reply to me if
interested and I'll give you more info/details.

Randy
