OK, so I got the car (2002 WRX SportWagon) and got the obligatory spare set
of stock wheels to go racing in stock class (DS). Now I need tires :^)

Stock tires are 205/55R16.

I see 2 directions on size and 2 on tires (3 tires total) to go on the stock
rims (16x6.5"). They are as follows :

1. 205/45R16 Kumho Ecsta V700s ($115/tire)
2. 225/50R16 Kumho Ecsta V700s ($128/tire)
3. 225/50R16 Kumho VictoRacer V700s ($129/tire)

(all prices from Tire Rack)

I'm leaning towards the smaller (205) tires, because they will be lighter
and give a gearing advantage (smaller diameter). Also, they should have
better transitional characteristics due to the smaller sidewalls.

On the other hand, the 225s would put a little more rubber width to the
ground.

Does anyone have any experience on these tires in DS on a WRX? And if so,
what kind of tire pressures are you running?

Thanks!
